What motivates you to do what you do?

It’s scary to feel like you have to carry emotional weight, burden, trauma, or stress all by yourself. Honoring that with a client motivates me because in my experience, that is what has been most life changing about my own personal healing journey.

What is your favorite hobby?

I love to run and am currently training for my first marathon. I also enjoy yoga, crocheting, and playing with my cat, Slinky.

If you were a car, what kind of a car would you be?

I’d probably be a sick “cool mom” vehicle, like a Range Rover. Although I don’t have kids of my own, I am often described as the mom of the friend group.

QUOTE I LOVE

“Accept who you are; and revel in it” —Mitch Albom, Tuesdays with Morrie

Favorite movie?

Arrival. I really liked the scene where they realize how the alien is communicating to them, and how that relates to their timeline and frame of reference in a major twist ending to the story.

Where did you go to school?

I attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and graduated in 2021 with my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors in Child, Youth, & Family Studies, Sociology, and Gerontology. I received my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado in 2024.

Favorite song and the first time you heard it.

“Suburban Wonderland” by Between Friends. I first heard it in the car on my way to class and then listened to it nonstop for probably a week after. I love a good synth when it comes to music, it’s just so very feel good!
